Do You know how to make an Optimus one of those?

lol that's a kinda vague question. I can create a design for an Optimus Prime costume, yes.

Like, what would it be made out of?
I'm having no luck with cardboard....

Well, Breakdown here was made out of foam board, craft foam and Spandex. Cardboard tends to be more trouble than it's worth, as it tends to not survive travel very well, doesn't last long after its first wear, and sucks up paint like the sponge it is, which creates this terrible wave effect across your rig.

What I start with is a cardstock base design. After I make sure it works, the pieces get transferred to either foam board or craft foam as I edge toward the final design.
